DEPOSITS
A deposit will be required on all first time rentals and may be required on future rentals.
INSURANCE
Insurance
coverage is the responsibility of the renter and is strongly recommended due to
the high replacement value of most of the equipment. As the renter, you assume
full responsibility and are completely liable, for the condition of the rental
equipment while it is in route to you, and in your possession.
Insurance
coverage is suggested for high value or high risk equipment. Proof of insurance
may be requested prior to the rental, and must include the following:
1.
Be “all risk” and equal the total replacement value of all rented equipment.
2.
Name Southeastern Camera and Supply as the sole “loss payee”.
3.
Be the primary source of insurance coverage.
4.
Be on file with Southeastern Camera and Supply before the rental begins.
LOSS
OR DAMAGE
The
renter agrees to assume full responsibility for all rental equipment and also
agrees to compensate Southeastern Camera and Supply for any and all equipment
that is lost, stolen or damaged. This includes paying for all repairs up to the
full replacement value of the equipment if it is damaged beyond repair, and
paying full replacement value for stolen or lost equipment. The renter will
also be charged a rental fee for the time period in which damaged equipment is
out for repair or until payment is received for replacement of equipment.
EQUIPMENT
It
is highly recommended that you inspect all equipment before accepting the
rental. Although Southeastern Camera and Supply’s inspections and maintenance
prevent most problems, it is not possible to predict all potential problems.
Notify Southeastern Camera and Supply immediately of any problem with any
rental equipment. Failure to do so may result in a full rental fee.
SPARE
BULB & INSTRUCTION
MANUAL
POLICY
Spare
bulbs are provided upon request. There is no charge for the use of spare bulbs
as long as the “burnt out” bulb is returned. However, any missing bulbs, shock
failures, over-volting or bulbs which show signs of overheating will be charged
to the renter. Instruction manuals will be provided upon request, and will be
charged for if not returned.
OUT
OF TOWN RENTALS
Southeastern
Camera and Supply is happy to accommodate out-of-town rentals. Freight charges
are billed to the renter, and rental charges begin the day the equipment is shipped,
and ends the day the equipment is received by Southeastern Camera and Supply.
We are not responsible for any and all delays caused by the carrier, and the
renter is responsible for any and all additional charges incurred due to late
shipment. We suggest that the weekly rate is taken advantage of, and the
equipment is shipped out 48 hours in advance (we can not take first AM
deliveries from UPS or FEDEX). All equipment will be shipped next day air
unless otherwise requested.
“TRY
BEFORE YOU BUY” POLICY
If
you rent equipment for the purpose of trying it out before purchasing that
item, the following applies to the purchase of the same equipment: Up to 50% of
rental charges can be applied to the purchase of the same equipment that is
new. In the case of discontinued items
the 50% rental credit can be used on the next model that is currently
available.
RESERVATIONS
Because
all equipment is rented on a first come first served basis, a reservation is
recommended and may be scheduled up to one month in advance.
CANCELLATIONS
All
reservations must be cancelled with a minimum of 24 hours advance notice.
Cancellations with less than 24 hour notice are subject to a cancellation fee
equal to the full amount of the rental rate. Rental deposits on cancellations
48 hours or more will not be refunded but credited toward another rental date.
DEPOSITS
A
deposit for the full amount of the equipment value, or up to $1,000.00, may be
required for every rental at our discretion. If you do not have an established
account with Southeastern Camera and Supply, the deposit must be made with a
Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express credit card with a sufficient
limit to accept the full amount of the deposit. The deposit is made in the form
of an Authorization Hold, which holds funds in the amount of the deposit for
7-10 days. Cash or a Cashier’s Check is also an acceptable form of deposit.

Prices,
deposits and specifications in our catalogue are subject to change without
notice. Southeastern Camera and Supply’s rental prices are based on the premise
that the operators are experienced and well trained. Our gear is professional
equipment and is not recommended to the inexperienced. Failure
to understand the equipment operation is not an excuse for non-payment!!
SPARE

POLICY
Alkaline,
Lithium and Silver Oxide batteries are considered expendable items. Southeastern
Camera and Supply provides rested batteries for each rental item, but cannot
guarantee the viability of the batteries. It is highly recommended that you
carry spare batteries.
****Note**** Please allow ample time for charging of batteries, as we
make every effort, but make no guarantees that batteries will be fully charged.
